本会について
わたしたちは早稲田大学文学学術院元教授の文芸批評家からハラスメント被害に遭った原告A／深沢レナ、その支援者たちからなる団体です。2020年夏から2025年末まで活動を行ってきました。
わたしたちは被害者にも加害者にも傍観者にもなりたくない
早稲田大学文学学術院の元教授である文芸批評家が、在学中に教え子の学生であった原告A／深沢レナさんに対しセクシュアル・ハラスメントをはたらいたこと、それを口止めしようとした教員たちがいたこと、関係者の裁判が現在係争中であることなど、これら一連の事件について事実究明を行い、キャンパスハラスメントというものを構造的に見直すことで、大学とは本来どのような場であるべきかを考えていきます。
We don’t want to be victims, perpetrators, or bystanders
A former professor of Waseda University’s Faculty of Letters, Arts and Sciences, a literary critic, sexually harassed a student, the plaintiff A/Rena Fukazawa, while she was a student at the university; some faculty members tried to stop her from speaking out; and a lawsuit is currently pending against those involved. We will investigate the facts of these incidents and review campus harassment from a structural point of view, and consider what kind of place a university should be.
わたしたちが求めること
・ハラスメントを繰り返した教員、それを容認した関係者らは、その行動の本質を自省すること。自らがやったことについて理解した上で、すべての被害者に誠意を持って謝罪すること。今後はハラスメント加害を行わない、容認しないと誓うこと。それができなければ二度と教育に携わらないこと。
・教員は不当な理由での休講や遅刻、学校を通さない休講連絡を行わないこと。なされなかった分の授業料は学生たちに返還すること。
・大学は不透明な調査体制を改善し、具体的な改善案をもとに、然るべき監督責任を果たすこと。教職員に対する研修強化や、被害者の窓口となる相談方法の見直しなどについて、具体的な改善案を提示すること。
・大学とはどのような場であったか、どのような場を理想とするのかについて、当事者・関係者が根本的な改革を視野に入れ、もう一度深く考え直すこと。
Our demand
– The teachers who repeatedly harassed and those who condoned the harassment must reflect on the nature of their actions. They must understand what they have done and sincerely apologize to all victims. They must pledge that they will not engage in or tolerate harassment thereafter. Otherwise they must never be involved in education again.
– Teachers must not cancel or arrive late at their classes for unjustifiable reasons, and when the classes are cancelled, they should notify that to their students via the university. Tuition payments for the cancelled classes must be refunded to students.
– The university must improve its murky investigation system and fulfill its responsibility to provide appropriate supervision based on concrete plans for improvement. The university should present concrete plans for improvement, such as conducting a refined training program for the teaching staff and reviewing the consultation methods to contact victims.
– With a view to fundamental reform, all those who are involved in a case should deeply reconsider once again what kind of place a university has been and what ideal place it should be.
